The nearly five week trip will begin on September 19th,
2006 with a flight to Amsterdam, Netherlands. After a two day excursion,
it's a quick layover
flight over
to Munich, Germany, and then off to Bratislava, Slovakia. During the trip,
there
are plans to also travel to Vienna, Austria, and Milan, Italy.
While in Slovakia, the plan is to learn more about the
Slovak culture, while looking for a new home to call my own. My plan
is to keep
everyone updated with pictures of each home found, and ultimately make
a new home purchase!
Slovakia is known for it's warm, friendly people. While I've already made a
few Slovak friends, I know that my trip will open doorways to meet new and
incredible people in Slovakia. Here, you will find updates and pictures of
people I've met throughout Slovakia.

My temporary stay in Bratislava was coming to an end. Eva, Maria, and myself went out to explore Old Town Bratislava once more, and then I treated the to a special meal at Slovakia's most exclusive resturant, U.F.O.

After a short connecting flight from Amsterdam to Bratislava, I was excited to find my Slovak friends, Eva and Maria, arriving at Bratislava airport to greet me! Over the next few days, they walked us around Bratislava, and even got me familiar with local customs and authentic Slovak food!

*sigh* Internet connections are very limited at the Hotel Tatra. While Internet is available everywhere in Slovakia, the hotel charges in 30 minute segments. So instead of spending a fortune for online fees, I'm only updating once while I"m here in Bratislava.
Keep your fingers crossed as I head out to the private cottage on Monday, September 25th. I can only *hope* I'll find a WiFi hot spot nearby!

I have updated the site with new pictures and blog post for the first day in Amsterdam. So far, it's been quite the adventure!
